PayPal has recently updated their TOS to include rather severe fines for purchase payments sent via the gift method. Therefore, to be safe, I will no longer be able to accept payments via gift method. Please make your payments via the "goods or services" option. I'm sorry to those of you who will have to change your long-standing method, but it really can't be helped right now.

As for upcoming events, I will be attending TEAM-UP next week, though I'm not expecting any orders (it is a TINY obscure event). The next big one will be Movies Paradise. Sadly for me, no cosplay. Happily for you, more time to spend shopping. :P

Basic Service Information

I offer a few different proxy services, getting the doujinshi (fan comics) and goods you want from Japan to you. For fan events I attend, I run a doujinshi pick-up service -- I'll visit the requested circle tables and make purchases for you there. These events are the best way to get new releases, as well as buying from multiple artists in the same fandom/genre. Events I'm attending, as well as others I've heard about, are listed on my event calendar when I remember. But sometimes, we might be between events, or a circle you're interested isn't attending. That's where my online ordering service comes in. If your requested items are still available/in stock, I'll order directly from the circle or from the online shop handling their sales. Online doujinshi shops include Toranoana, K-Books, livret, youclub, Melonbooks, etc.

Do you offer mail forwarding services?
Generally, no. I do not have a business location, and so having random packages come in that I did not order myself could become troublesome to those with whom I live, as well as being an absolute mess to keep track of. I /can/ ship items your order through me /to/ a mail forwarding service, if you have an account with Tenso or a similar company.

Will you hold my package to combine with another order?
Sure! Even if you just need me to delay a package for extenuating circumstances, it's usually not a problem. (Within reason, though -- if you drop out of contact for several months, I may have to consider your order abandoned.) As noted above, I'm running this service at home, so I don't have unlimited space to store packages. If you have several orders ongoing for months, I may talk to you about having them shipped out in batches.

Do you offer bidding services for Yahoo!Japan Auctions?
No. However, I can place a one time max bid for you (Y!J Auctions is set up to bid in increments only as necessary up to your maximum) or purchase items via their "buy it now" system.

Will you order from StellaWorth?
No. Complaining behind the cut. )

As always, please read the pricing and event details closely before placing an order. Check the individual event pages for exact fees, and let me know if you have any questions. I will assume that you agree to the stated fees for the event when you order. Refunds are not available once an item has been purchased.
This post and my services are both a work in progress. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact me through LiveJournal, or email me at fanservices.sales at gmail dot com. Thank you!

What shipping methods are available? )

How are the packages, uh, packed? )

What is the handling fee for? )

I try to ship items within two weeks of item arrival/final payment, but unfortunately scheduling conflicts do occur. Currently, I can only request weekend pick-up due to a shift in dayjob hours, sorry.

COUNTRY WARNINGS
The customs departments for some countries have become quite strict in processing any material with images. I've learned this the hard way with Vietnam...
As mentioned elsewhere, I cannot offer any sort of recompense for undeliverable packages, or items removed by customs/postal service, so please be aware of your import strictures. Here is some info I've learned, personally:

❀ Brazil: May have started charging more for imports of CDs, software and similar material at customs.
❀ Canada: Has started cracking down on explicit content in comics. Not sure if it's focused on underage or not. I haven't had any refused packages, so they're not likely checking them /that/ closely. Still, you have been informed.
❀ Germany: Apparently customs charges you a lot, and is picky about the paperwork. There are no refunds if you refuse a package in order to avoid fees, sorry guys.
❀ Italy: see Germany. (Not through personal experience, though.)
❀ Mexico: I've had EMS lose one package there due to a change of address (or possibly the client received it but never confirmed), but subsequent packages to the country have been fine.
❀ Thailand: Haven't had any shipping problems myself, but my friends have complained about arbitrarily high customs fees, 50-100% the value of the package.
❀ Vietnam: Will not accept packages with explicit content, and may not accept packages containing any BL content, dependent on the intake officer. Also, custom fees tend to be arbitrary.

Payment Process

All payments are through PayPal.

How do the deposits work? )

Can I have a breakdown of fees? )

What else should I know about payment? )

Update 2013: Due to my bank's foreign currency policies, an additional 3% will be incorporated to the exchange rate, bringing it to Y1000=$11.00. I apologize for the inconvenience, but in most cases, I have to withdraw funds from my US account or use my US card for [livejournal.com profile] fanservices's purchases.

I thought I'd give a quick rundown of the costs involved in an event, for anyone who has considered requesting attendance of one not on my list. This does not apply to events I was already intending on visiting. (This will hopefully clarify why the event quotes are so high...)
-Edited upon the realization that events always end up consuming more of my time than expected.
-Replaced breakdown example with more recent info.

So here's a breakdown of event-related spending >.< )

Things to take note of:
❀ I live in Saitama, and so only go to Kanto-area events. That means Tokyo-to, Makuhari/Chiba-ken, and Yokohama/Kanagawa-ken, essentially. Unless you want to pay for my train tickets to Osaka or wherever, I cannot attend farther events.
❀ I'm often busy with my RL job, so it's not likely I'll be able to take many event requests at all.

If you'd like to make an event request, feel free to comment below, or send me an email at fanservices.sales❀gmail.com. Likewise if you have any questions or suggestions!
