Basic Service Information
I offer a few different proxy services, getting the doujinshi (fan comics) and goods you want from Japan to you. For fan events I attend, I run a doujinshi pick-up service -- I'll visit the requested circle tables and make purchases for you there. These events are the best way to get new releases, as well as buying from multiple artists in the same fandom/genre. Events I'm attending, as well as others I've heard about, are listed on my event calendar when I remember. But sometimes, we might be between events, or a circle you're interested isn't attending. That's where my online ordering service comes in. If your requested items are still available/in stock, I'll order directly from the circle or from the online shop handling their sales. Online doujinshi shops include Toranoana, K-Books, livret, youclub, Melonbooks, etc.
Ordering from an Event
Events: What to send me
Please include the name of your requested event in the subject line. (I need the event name, circle name, space number, and request at minimum; the rest is optional for pick-ups.) I will also accept Do Not Want lists, as long as I am given a circle or list of circles to check out.
Some events also have their catalog available online. In this case, I am willing to look up circle names in the directory, and possibly additional circles in the same fandom.
Your request list is due by the deadline posted on the event page. I will confirm your list before the event, and let you know the amount due for deposit when I get your list.
Mail Orders from Online Shops
The first payment required is the item price plus listed commission. Once I receive that payment, I'll place your order ASAP. In cases of circle orders where I need to pay at a banking institution, I may submit the order earlier, but pay at my earliest convenience /after/ receiving payment from you.
The second/final payment is required before shipping your items to you, and includes all domestic fees incurred in acquiring your items, any adjustments necessary, and international shipping and handling costs.
For more information, please see the Direct Order post.
Do you offer mail forwarding services?
Generally, no. I do not have a business location, and so having random packages come in that I did not order myself could become troublesome to those with whom I live, as well as being an absolute mess to keep track of. I /can/ ship items your order through me /to/ a mail forwarding service, if you have an account with Tenso or a similar company.
Will you hold my package to combine with another order?
Sure! Even if you just need me to delay a package for extenuating circumstances, it's usually not a problem. (Within reason, though -- if you drop out of contact for several months, I may have to consider your order abandoned.) As noted above, I'm running this service at home, so I don't have unlimited space to store packages. If you have several orders ongoing for months, I may talk to you about having them shipped out in batches.
Do you offer bidding services for Yahoo!Japan Auctions?
No. However, I can place a one time max bid for you (Y!J Auctions is set up to bid in increments only as necessary up to your maximum) or purchase items via their "buy it now" system.
Will you order from StellaWorth?
No. I've placed orders with them in the past, and each time the order "failed to deliver", was returned to the company, and I was charged a large restocking fee in addition to paying for it to be reshipped and COD fees twice over. I got sick of that treatment, and will not order from them again.
As always, please read the pricing and event details closely before placing an order. Check the individual event pages for exact fees, and let me know if you have any questions. I will assume that you agree to the stated fees for the event when you order. Refunds are not available once an item has been purchased.
This post and my services are both a work in progress. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact me through LiveJournal, or email me at fanservices.sales at gmail dot com. Thank you!
