2016 has been difficult for everyone, I think -- myself included. I've had some personal issues making it difficult to get things shipped on time, which makes me feel guilty, which makes me avoid email...a vicious cycle. I'm getting caught up now though.

The next month will be really busy with work, cosplay construction, events and travel, but I hope to resume mail orders at a normal pace by the end of January 2017. I'm taking new requests now, but shipping availability will be spotty for a while longer. Another note on mail orders -- domestic shipping rates have increased slightly for several stores, including Toranoana and CQueen.

I will attend Winter Comiket 91, but since I'm going primarily for cosplay (and bulky ones at that), I'm not able to offer shopping services. (The only possible exception is for the western movie/TV/comics fandom. I will definitely visit that section, but I might not be physically able to shop for others, depending on what I'm wearing.) Edit: No, I don't know anyone else offering C91 services. If I hear about anything, I will make a post.

Do you also offer event shopping services, in Japan or elsewhere? (I know when I was setting up I was also googling the competition other ppl who did it, no shame here lol) Let me know if you want to advertise here. When I can't help with an event, I sometimes get asked if I know anyone who is going, so maybe I can point them your way.

I'm going to have to recalculate exchange rates ASAP, but I'm guessing it's going to jump back up to JPY 100 = USD 1.00. [6/27: current exchange rate, including my bank fees as usual, is ¥100:$1.02]

"But @feikoi, you live in Japan! You accept US currency! WTF does that have to do with the situation in the EU!" With the massive fluctuations in pound and Euro currently (aka now is the time to shout "TIIIIIMBERRRRRR"), it's affecting international money markets as well. Asian currencies in particular seem to have gotten a relative boost. Now, Japan's Ministry of Finance has been deliberately devaluing the yen to make Japan more desirable for foreign investment or some BS (I really don't pay much attention to that stuff), so they might artificially rebalance it soon.

In the mean time, I gotta whip out my calculator.

SUPER LAST MINUTE - EVENT IS THIS SUNDAY

I've had a couple people interested in this event this week, but I don't know how many will follow through. If there are multiple orders, I can split the entry cost (¥8000) between each person, and add a per-circle fee to that.

I hope to get the commission fee down to Y2000-2500 (or lower) plus Y1000 per circle -- if you missed out on other services and wish to purchase items for Haru Comic City 21, please email me ASAP so I can coordinate orders and fees. Deposit will be needed by Saturday, and so I will need your requests by then as well. Thanks!

A bit of a slow start to the year, but services are now resumed for 2016.

The next upcoming event is Movies Paradise 27, held on February 7th. For those unfamiliar with this event, it deals with overseas (non-Japanese) live action fandoms, primarily films and US/UK television series. Comics and novel doujinshi are available, and there have been a growing number of goods circles recently as well. Please click here for more information.

Also on my calendar is TEAM UP 7, on April 3rd. This is a small event focused on American comics fandom, largely Marvel/DC superheros. I'm attending for cosplay reasons, but I can shop too. Because it shares a hall with other small fandom events (El Shaddai, SnK Eren/Levi, and Phoenix Wright), I can also visit those upon request. Please click here for more information.

I have not made plans yet for Haru Comic City -- the end of March and the beginning of May are always up in the air, travel-wise.

As per usual, an extremely late notice. I will be offering pick-up/proxy shopping services for Day 1 (May 3rd) of SCC24. That day includes the Western movies/TV, videogames, general manga (not JUMP etc.), among other fandoms.

Updated 2015/08/12: fee and auction clarifications, new exchange rate.

This service is for online purchases from Japanese stores (such as Toranoana and C-Queen), as well as purchasing items online directly from circles themselves. Non-doujinshi items are also okay, as long as it's legal to ship out of the country. ;D

Many Japanese stores do not offer international shipping and/or require payment methods other than credit cards, so that's where I come in. After receiving your deposit, I will place the order and have it shipped to me. Then, I will repack the items as necessary and contact you for the second payment (which includes your choice of international shipping methods and all remaining fees). Combined shipping of multiple orders is fine, just let me know.
