SCC is done for this year. I've contacted the Day 1 orders, and should receive the shipment of Day 2 books tomorrow for sorting and packing. I may have some accidental pick-ups/extras in the BBC Sherlock fandom, so feel free to message me if you're interested. I will update the sales album accordingly a bit later. (Thanks to SH2JW attending, I now have a few full sets of her English-language BBC Sherlock doujinshi up for sale, for those who missed the event.)

Up next is Movies Paradise! Pick-up service will be run similarly to last time, but I'll be making a dedicated post soon. The circle list has been released, so please check it out on their website: http://ketto.com/mp 895 circles this time!

I've got to say, the system Akaboo is using for their online circle catalog is... less than useful. (I've been spoiled by Comiket, I guess...) Most circles are not tagged with their fandom or pairing info, and there is no interactive map feature. Sigh.

There is a free version for everyone to use (day 1 and day 2), but I have also paid to get membership access. If you would like full access to their search features, contact me and I will share my login info. At the very least, you'll be able to see the circle cut images and locations for all the attendees.

Super Comic City 23 - Shopping Service
[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com
I've been notified by the postal service that Registered SAL service has been suspended in several countries, including Australia, Greenland, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Finland, and Poland. Registered Airmail is still available for those destinations.

http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/information/2013/1218_01.html

While in the past I have recommended SAL as the cheapest yet still reliable shipping method, EMS is definitely the best option, but I do understand if it's too expensive for your budget. Please keep in mind that as SAL does involve ground shipping upon entry to your country, you will need to use your own judgment as to how trustworthy, speedy, or reliable your country's postal service is.

Hello everyone! I've run in-store shopping a few times upon private request, and so I'd like to elaborate on how it works, for others who may be interested. I'm considering two formats, depending on the nature of the shopping. (If you have any questions or suggestions about the below, please don't hesitate to ask, so I can clarify this post further!)

IMPORTANT
Refund and cancellation policies:

  • At any point, you may close out the order, with any remainder in the deposit going towards shipping, PayPal fees, etc. If the total at this point is not zero, I will either invoice you for the remainder due or refund what still remains in from the deposit.

  • Before items have been purchased, you may cancel your order for a refund of your deposit minus a USD $5 cancellation fee.

  • There are no refunds for items already purchased. Cancelling your order at this point will result in a refund minus partial item price and a USD $5 cancellation fee, as well as a release of claim on the book (for it to be added to items for sale at [livejournal.com profile] fanservices).

The [livejournal.com profile] fanservices shop has finally reopened. More books are continually being listed, so take a look! PLEASE do not share the images on other sites or direct-link to the albums, as I'm trying to avoid getting the artists upset with me. ^^;; Linking to this entry or the tumblr post is fine!

Fandoms include: Avengers, XM:FC, DC Comics, Person of Interest, BBC Sherlock, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, 007: Skyfall, Harry Potter, Hot Fuzz, The Hobbit, Inception, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, JJ's Star Trek, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, El Shaddai (videogame), Tiger&Bunny, Bleach, Saiyuki, Haikyuu!!, Gundam Wing, Ao no Exorcist, and plenty more.

It /may/ be feasible to get additional copies of some of the sold out items (or ones from my private collection), but please understand that only applies in a few cases and may incur higher fees.

Hey everyone! I will be running pickup on both days of Super Comic City 23, on May 3rd and 4th.

Super Comic City is a massive, two day, all-fandoms doujinshi and goods event, taking place during Golden Week each year. There are approximately 24,000 spaces over the two days this year, should be fun. :D

Starting April 1st, sales tax in Japan are increasing from 5% to 8%. So for you guys, that means an increase in prices from shops like Toranoana and CQueen, and possibly an overall trend of higher doujinshi prices. (Only a guess, but since circles will need to offset additional printing costs...)

Train fares and event entry fees are also increasing accordingly, which means my base event fees will have to go up slightly. I really hate to do that to you guys, as I realize collecting doujinshi is expensive enough to begin with.

Hello everyone!

I have a few notices at this time. Spring break is coming up soon, and I'm hoping to put more time into revamping fan services then. \o/

First off, sales! I know I've been utterly neglecting the sales posts on here since moving nearly a year ago. I still have the books listed, and so many more, they're just boxed up and buried in a closet, along with /my/ collection. orz I'll be reopening sales by early April, and adding in older books I'd like to clear off my shelves along with items from the past year (including a certain popular pair of books in the Sherlock fandom... ^^). I may also try out ebay's auctioning services for a few titles, see how that goes.

Second, shipping policies. I will no longer offer the insured or "value added" services for SAL or Airmail packages. Customers who wish for that assurance will need to use EMS shipping. (Registered mail, the tracking services for SAL/Airmail, is still OK.)

Third, commission updates. Starting in April, I will be adjusting the Direct Order fee format. In order to accommodate those of you with one-item orders, the base fee will be Y500 per shop order, and Y150 per item. This also results in lower overall fees for orders with more than 10 items from a single shop!

And last, I've opened a tumblr for [livejournal.com profile] fanservices, here at fan-services. I intend to use it to link to new events, sales updates, etc., but we'll see how it actually goes in the future ^^;;

Hey everyone, it looks like Haru Comic City 19 is a go!

HCC19 is a large-scale event at the Tokyo Big Sight, with 15,000 circles for all sorts of fandoms. A web pamphlet can be found here.

Note:
The base costs involved in this covering this event come to approximately Y9000. If the total requests across everyone's orders reaches 10 circles, we'll switch over to the usual payment system of Y900 per circle (or 30% for large orders). Before that, I will divide the event costs across the orders. (Current order list: 7 circles) Minimum quota has been made! All orders will follow the usual Y900 per circle fee format.

Last week was Movies Paradise, and it was super fun! This time we were located at a nice big hall in Shibuya - a little far from the station, but the spacious, carpeted layout was great.

Why do I care about the flooring?

XD

Anyway, orders from MP21 and filled direct orders have been packed up and (mostly) invoiced. If I missed you, don't hesitate to poke me ^^;;
[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com
Lately, the post hasn't been too terribly careful in how they've been wedging the large envelopes in my mailbox. While no books have been bent yet, I'd like to keep it that way. As such, I will not be using the cheaper shipping method for Toranoana any longer, so domestic shipping or that shop will go from Y140 to Y400. I apologize for the inconvenience.
[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com

Movies Paradise 21 is on February 23rd! An overseas movie and TV fandom event, genres represented include BBC Sherlock, Avengers, Supernatural, Pacific Rim, Hobbit, XM:FC, Skyfall, actor RPS, and many more!

[livejournal.com profile] jessamygriffin and I will be running pickup together (if our schedules permit). The circle list is already available and can be accessed by clicking on "サークルリスト" on the event website. On the circle list page, selecting the viewing option "ジャナル" and "配置順リスト" will allow you to view the circle details approximately grouped by fandom.

Hey-ho! A quick status update before the next sales and event posts go up.

Shipping: MP20 and Comiket orders have finally all been cleared from the shelf, yatta! Direct orders are making their way out slowly but surely -- everyone whose items are in, I've contacted with updates and/or final amounts due.

Events: Movies Paradise 21 is coming up in a few weeks. [livejournal.com profile] jessamygriffin and I will be attending and shopping like always, but. (Yes, the dreaded "but.") Cosplay is finally allowed at the new venue, and JG is debuting her amazing Thorin garb there, so we still need to hammer out the details of shopping schedules and all. (Likely we'll switch off using the changing room, but, yeah, still need to talk to her about that. >.>) In any case, the circle list is up for MP21, so check it out, and feel free to ask me anything.

Sales: Oh, man, I've kind of abandoned those pages since I boxed everything up and moved...10 months ago... sorry guys! I do plan on selling off a lot of my BBC Sherlock and Tiger&Bunny collections in addition to what's already listed, as well as the extras I've amassed in Avengers and various other fandoms. And I definitely need to get on this if I'm going to be able to afford visiting home next winter ^^;;
[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com
First batch of shipments in 2014 just went out -- 12 packages for Comiket and direct orders. There are another 20+ still to go (not including personal shipments, ffff). I'll be in contact with shipping notices for those that went out today, and final shipping fee calculations for those I haven't already invoiced.

The next available shipping dates are tentatively 1/10 and 1/17.

Insomnia + Comiket are unmixy things. Sigh. Might as well post an update while I can't sleep.

Expandcomiket blather here )

I've also had an influx of SH2JW Toranoana orders. Hi, new people! *waves* I've sent in a batch of orders already, here's hoping they keep in stock for anyone else who wants to order! TAKE MY WHOLE LIFE is already down to half stock sold out.

Direct orders will be continue through the new year, though because of Comiket and a few, ah, cosplay-related vacations in early January, I might not be able to respond quite so promptly. I need to double-check when Japan Post is closed for the New Year holiday, but I think the earliest the next batch of packages will go out is January 3rd. That includes a shipment or two from before Christmas, sorry guys.

Edit 1/1/2014: Apparently I posted this to my personal journal. orz sleep deprivation is a bad thing. Also, Happy New Year!

Sorry for the late update! Yes, I will be attending Winter Comiket this time, days 1 and 2. I may try to make a proper post soon (you can look at the o:comiket tag for how I typically run the event), but basic details:

Attending: Day 1 (December 29th) and Day 2 (December 30th). I have plans on the 31st, and cannot attend.
Fees: Y900 OR 30% title cost per circle, plus an additional Y500 for wall circles.
Deposit: USD $10 per item. If you don't have an exact title list yet, a rough estimate will do.
Deposit due by: December 25th, earlier if at all possible. I need to get it transferred to my bank and withdrawn before banks close for the New Years holiday.

Please note:
1. Currently, commercial/corporate booths (marked with a three digit space number, ex. 345) will not be visited, unless the circle list for one day is limited to one area. Lines for that section are incredibly long, and I don't want to visit the corporate area at the expense of circle orders. If circumstances /do/ allow it, it will be at a much higher set commission fee (around ¥2500 or 40% per booth, with ¥1000 portion non-refundable in the case I line up for your booth but am still unable to acquire your requests).
2. The western fandom section will be visited first on...whatever day that is, I still need to check. Day 2. (Running soooo behind on everything, apologies.)
3. [livejournal.com profile] jessamygriffin and I will likely be splitting shopping lists by area so we can fulfill as many orders as possible. Though number 2 still applies there (generally, she focuses on BBC Sherlock, while I hit Avengers/PacRim/pretty much everything else.)
4. Alterations to lists will be accepted up through December 27th, though hopefully we'll have the bulk of the requests settled by the deposit deadline.

If you have any questions or requests, please email me at fanservices.sales at gmail.com. Also, please use a subject header including "C85", so I don't miss adding your requests to the list!

Edit: I've had a few inquiries about the commercial/corporate booths. I'm not exaggerating about the line situation -- it's generally between 20 minutes and 3 hours for each line, depending on popularity, they only stock a certain amount per day so queueing from the early morning is necessary, and there may be a limit on how many copies can be purchased at one time (multiple mentions of kyo-ani so far, may require queuing again). (It's also packed to the brim which sometimes gets a little gross, to be entirely honest.)

I'm only considering handling this section if a) it doesn't mean neglecting the rest of that day's orders, and b) it's worth my time, meaning /much/ higher rates since I won't be able to take many orders. I may also require a small non-refundable deposit for that section -- things sell out, unfortunately, and I don't want to waste several hours for nothing, you know? I could also visit in the afternoon, after handling other requests, but again, things sell out quick.

I will make a final decision closer to the deadline, say, 12/23-ish? Thank you for your patience.
[identity profile] feikoi.livejournal.com
The event map has been released! Circles with a space number beginning with "A" are indeed wall circles, and the Y500 fee will apply to them. Please let me know ASAP if this will affect your wishlist any.

Jessamy has been unfortunately scheduled to work overlapping with the event, so while she will be helping as she can, most or all of the pick-up will be handled by me. Hopefully this will not affect our ability to fulfill everyone's orders, though!

ETA: "M" are also wall circles.
