requests: the breakdown of an event
I thought I'd give a quick rundown of the costs involved in an event, for anyone who has considered requesting attendance of one not on my list. This does not apply to events I was already intending on visiting. (This will hopefully clarify why the event quotes are so high...)
-Edited upon the realization that events always end up consuming more of my time than expected.
-Replaced breakdown example with more recent info.
Entry fee: up to Y2000 per event
Courier fees: Y1000-1400 per box (avoided for smaller purchases)
Cheap sustenance: Y800
I haven't use courier services very often in the past; it was always in cases where the purchases would be safer that way (overweight, bad weather, post-event plans, etc.). In the future, though, I think it will be best to factor this into events with larger shopping lists. I noted food above because essentially, between the commute and waiting in line, I spend close to ten hours out for each event -- refreshments are necessary, and Japan isn't cheap, unfortunately.
In a dream world, commission fees for requested events (in addition to the known entry and transporation fees) would ideally reimburse me for time spend at the event location, travel time, and any additional expenses incurred at the same rate as my day job, considering it's the same hours or /longer/. That would be rather cost-prohibitive for any individual, so I'm trying to cover estimated expenses plus a reasonable minimum for the time spend at the event.
For a private commission, the total would be Y18,000, not including item cost/shipping/PayPal fees.
For multiple clients, the base fee of ¥8000 would be split among the participants, plus a per-circle charge (varies by event, ¥800-1200)
You've probably noticed that I change how I charge kind of often? So the below is a bit outdated, but included for posterity.
For requested events, the current plan is to set a participation cost, plus a fixed percentage of your total purchases. So, for the above event specs, a possible commission scheme could be:
Things to take note of:
❀ I live in Saitama, and so only go to Kanto-area events. That means Tokyo-to, Makuhari/Chiba-ken, and Yokohama/Kanagawa-ken, essentially. Unless you want to pay for my train tickets to Osaka or wherever, I cannot attend farther events.
❀ I'm often busy with my RL job, so it's not likely I'll be able to take many event requests at all.
If you'd like to make an event request, feel free to comment below, or send me an email at fanservices.sales❀gmail.com. Likewise if you have any questions or suggestions!

So here's a breakdown of event-related spending >.<
What I end up spending at an event, besides actual purchases:
Transportation: Y900~Y2400 per event day (Kanto region).Entry fee: up to Y2000 per event
Courier fees: Y1000-1400 per box (avoided for smaller purchases)
Cheap sustenance: Y800

Sample data: Haru Comic City 21Subtotal = Y8160 + ?
- Travel fare = Y1860
- Entry fee = Y1300
- (Courier fees = ~Y1000)
- Travel time = 3 hours (*¥1000)
- Event queue time = 2 hours (*¥1000)
- Event shopping time = 3 to 5 hours (*¥varies)

It's a bit early to ask, but do you think you will be attending Haru Comic City next year (March 15th)?

Event Request
Hello there I was wondering if you still take even requests? I'm interested for the event on October 18, 2015 on Tokyo Big Sight called 異界都市の歩き方02.
Sorry not sure of the name in english, but it is a Kekkai Sensei only event.

I want the tote bag in the top left (and I heard there is a microfiber towel, too?)
Anyway, let me know if this would be possible.
Thank you!

Harucomi
Re: Harucomi
For an event of this scope, as a private pick-up, the fees would run around ¥18,000, not including the price of the books, shipping, or PayPal fees. If there are multiple orders, I can split the entry cost (¥8000) between each person, and add a per-circle fee to that (probably ¥1000 each).
RE: Harucomi
If I can get it down to Y2000-2500 plus Y1000 per circle, would you still be interested? Please send me an email ASAP so I can coordinate with the others interested. fanservices.sales at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Would I have to private commission this or something? I know a few people who are interested. (Usually I just ask my friend to get some stuff for me, but she can't go this time.)

Do you think you will be attending Movies Paradise 29 (11/19)? There's a few circles I'm interested in.
Thank you!
