Event: COMIC SPARK 6 pick-up service
UPDATE: WALL CIRCLES
According to the maps available on akaboo, the wall circles will be あ,ア,(hiragana and katakana "a") and for West Hall, A and U
COMIC SPARK 6 is a large doujinshi event at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center. There are a planned 16,400 circle spaces filling all six East Halls, and lots of listed "Only" events this time around. The official website can be found here, and the pixiv event page is located here.
I may close this event to new orders after 15-20 circles. I don't anticipate this being an issue, but just wanted to give you a heads up beforehand! Edit 10/9: That was quick! All further orders will be put on secondary priority -- hopefully I'll be able to make it to your circles, but it might not be until later in the event.
Placing an Order:
❀ Send me an email to feikoi❀gmail.com, with SPARK 6 in the subject line and the following information:
Minimal Form
Full Form
If you know the prices of your items, that helps me a lot in keeping track at the event. But I know a lot of circles don't list those, so that's okay too.
Commission and Fees:
❀ General commission is Y800 per circle, or 30% the cost of items from each circle, whichever is greater.
❀ Wall circles incur an additional Y500 fee, due to likelihood of massive lines. At HCC, wall circles were A, N, ア, タ, ミ, あ, た, み sections. I do not currently have a map available for SPARK6, however, so you may be notified after the event about a change in wall circle status.
❀ Special goods (non-flat, fragile, or larger than standard B5 doujinshi size) will incur an additional fee, to be discussed (in the past, usually Y200 per item).
❀ The grand total will also include cost of items, shipping and handling (your choice of method) and PayPal fees.
Payment:
❀ Payment is through PayPal, preferably in USD (currently, Y1000=$13.04 -- may change closer to the event). Please let me know if you'd prefer to pay in JPY (the PayPal fees are different).
❀ Deposit of $10.00 (one item) or $20.00 (two or more items) per circle is due prior to the event, by the listed deadline of October 20th (EST). The amount of the deposit paid will be subtracted from the final total to calculate the amount due.
Notes:
❀ I may limit this event to 15-20 circles. I will make a note on this page if orders have been closed.
❀ If you have difficulties meeting the deposit deadline (due to the slow transfer of funds through PayPal, or other reason), please let me know, and we can work something out.
❀ For further information on how I generally run my event services, feel free to check out the FAQ, or email me with any questions.

I don't know any circles websites or how to begin looking for them. I have only ever gotten doujinshi from people selling theirs or group orders. Even then, I only know the name of the circles in a few cases.
no subject
If you have any more recent doujinshi, you can check the back, and the artists list their websites (and sometimes pixiv id).
It's not really possible to find information about fandoms and items available collected in one spot -- the catalog shows all the circles and what space they'll be at, and their advertisement picture usually gives you an idea of what fandom they are. However, I probably won't be getting this catalog until I arrive at the event, so I can't help you there. (It's like a phone book, essentially, so not much of a help without the artist name, anyway.)

The only fully searchable catalog for a large multifandom event that I know of is for Comiket -- actually, if you torrent a copy of an old catalog, you could search through that (in Japanese) for circles in your fandom. The CDROM also lists websites for those circles who submitted that info, so it could be a place to start.
Do you know if it's a big fandom? Small fandom? Old, new? Actually, you haven't mentioned what it is you are interested in...

I am looking for Hetalia focusing on Belarus, Taiwan or Vietnam. Though preferably not Belarus x Russia, Taiwan x Japan or Taiwan x China. So, big fandom but probably not so big on the characters I am interested in. Or Vocaloid focusing on Haku Yowane.
I did go through the pixiv list. Sadly, nothing was there I was interested in.
BTW, I do want to say thank you. I asked several people who are doing pick ups and you are the only one being patient with a newbie and actually answering questions.

I've been digging around my C80 catalog, and found the following info: Vietnam isn't listed (unless it's under some cutesy pairing nickname I don't have); Belarus has at least 5 circles, and Taiwan a couple, too.
no subject
For the Taiwan one at the current size I can't make anything out.

Here's a list: Hummel (ヒュンメル), Inumog, UNAP!, Agape, Giselluka (ジゼルカ), mono*unit, 嘘泣きアリス, Alpenreise, 黒。
There's more but I can't think their names off the top of my head

Like what do you expect to find there (never done one of these). Because I have quite bit from a lot of these artists so what happens if all the stuff they bring are old things and not new things. Or the items you got were items I already have. What would happen?
And would I have to be specific on what I want? Like its from the Durarara!! series or if I'm just looking for doujinshi?
And its just Inumog, Giselluka, and UNAP!
Hummel too if she's attneding

I purchase whatever I've been requested to get. So if I'm told, all items, I'm getting everything from the table. All new titles, I'm just getting the books released at SPARK 6, nothing earlier. If I've purchased a title that fits within your requests, you're responsible for paying for it -- I can't make returns.
If you want to be completely sure, write me a Do Not Want list -- I can usually show this or the want-to-buy list to whoever is manning the booth, and they'll help me double check the purchase if necessary.
no subject
But what happens if they don't have any new items? And you get nothing for me? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure of things since this is the first time I've done anything like this
Also, whats the link to the inumog book? I'm trying to look for it but can't find it
no subject
If I pick up nothing, you get a refund of the deposit. If I pick up items from your request list, you're resposible for their payment. It's pretty simple. :)
Once I get a list that's laid out, I can tell you how much the deposit will be. Please specify if you want /all/ or /new since ____/ for your more general requests, so I know what to pick up. (I don't make judgement calls -- I pick up what's on the list.)

The artists don't really say much except for the fact that they are going which makes it really hard sadly.
Giselluka is the only one I would still ask regardless. I have only half of her stuff so I can give you a list of items to look out for and any new ones she has. Would that work? Or do you want me to give you a list of what I do have and anything else that's not on it, I want.
I'd like to include the other artists but I have no clue if they are actually bringing new items or not :(
So hard.

Quite often, the circles announce their new books last minute, as they might be busy, or not have gotten their books from the printers until then, or whatever reason. So if you tell me to pick up the new books from a circle, but they don't have any new books, it's not like I'm going to charge you for it. I only charge for what I pick up. (If I get one or more items from a table, you will be charged commission. No items, no commission fee.)
As for the list, whatever you want to do. I will pick up what is on the list, no more, no less. You can make it as general or specific as you like, as long as I get the circle name (and space # if possible) and the request.

So that's 3 right? What's my total?
And I'll be sending you the list I do have for the other artist

Space number: not sure
Request(s): New items only for the durarara ones.
For Giselluka, I'll be giving you a list of what I have soon, anything else after that is what I'm looking for.
Hope that helps
