I was really surprised that GW is still going on -- there was a mini event at SCC? about twenty circles or so, for various pairings. Most of the art isn't up my alley anymore, but it was really cool to see. ALL THE NOSTALGIA.
The vampire cafe wasn't scary -- actually, they have a Halloween special thing going on, so the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack was playing (that is so crazy popular here...), and the food on the course menu was decorated with witches and ghosts and such. I'll have to steal the pix from my friend... Our table was over a coffin, but that's about as intense as it got. It was a pleasant surprise to find that our waiter spoke English (and some of the others did too, at least enough to introduce the food and take orders from the other foreign guests). My friend and I had a tendency to respond in Japanese anyway (habit), but it was nice.
I've also been to the Alice in Wonderland cafe, as well as a maid cafe and a butler cafe. There's a butler cafe I want to check out in Ikebukuro, but apparently they book up in advance...
